It is crucial to sterilise baby’s bottles until they are four months old.
There are several methods:
• Use an electric sterilizer or microwave to quickly sterilise several bottles at once
• Boil your bottles on the hob for several minutes
• Cold-sterilise using sterilisation tablets. You’ll need a sterilisation container that takes between four and six litres of water. Bottles can stay in the solution for up to 24 hours until it is used again. There is a faint smell of chlorine, but the solution is totally safe for babies
In addition to sterilization, regular, thorough cleaning of bottles is vital.
