Product description

Nowadays, it is increasingly common for families to have more than one car. SPS stands for Side Protection System, therefore the Rodi SPS offers excellent protection in side impact collisions. Moreover, because the seat is adjustable in height, it follows the child’s growth and continues to be comfortable.

The Bébé Confort Rodi SPS car seat is comfortable and fits most cars. SPS stands for Side Protection System, which is exactly what this child car seat does: offer the best possible protection in side impacts, which accounts for almost 25% of all types of accidents. FAQs
Are children taller than 1.50 metres required to sit in a child car seat?
No, but they must wear a car seat belt!
Can I add the air cushions to my current Rodi?
The air cushions on the Rodi AirProtect are integrated foam parts and cannot be added after production.
Is it true that it is no longer allowed to use a booster cushion/seat without back support?
Not only Bébé Confort, but also independent consumer organisations like the Dutch Consumers’ Association advise strongly against using a seat booster without back support. Back support is essential, particularly for reasons of side impact protection, though also due to the positioning of the seat belt around the neck and chest. Booster seats and cushions without back support are not yet prohibited, but must comply with the minimum requirements of the ECE R44/03 and ECE R44/04 standards.
The seat belt does not retract when my child falls asleep in the Bébé Confort Rodi. What should I do?
The Bébé Confort Rodi XP and AirProtect provide greater sitting comfort and safety for your child. Both the child and the car seat are secured with the seat belt. The Bébé Confort Rodi AirProtect has a reclining position, while the Bébé Confort XP does not. If a child falls asleep and slumps forward, the seat belt will gradually move forward together with the child. This is a feature of automatic belts. If the automatic mechanism does not roll up the belt properly, the third belt point (direction of the automatic mechanism) is probably in an incorrect position, i.e. placed too far forward. The seat belt is then threaded at an almost impossible angle, resulting in too much friction in the belt hook. This situation can occur in some station wagons, for example. For this reason we recommend that you try installing the car seat in your car before purchasing it. Your retailer can help you with this. Note: Always secure a Rodi seat with the belt, even when there is no child sitting in it.
Can 3 car seats fit on the back seat of my car?
Depending on the type of car, 3 seats may fit on the back seat.We recommend taking your car to the retailer to check this.
Can I also position a car seat on the front passenger seat?
Infant and child car seats can be placed on the passenger seat in the car. The rear seat of the car is preferable. An infant car seat for 0-13 months may only be used on the front passenger seat if there is no frontal airbag or if you are sure that it has been deactivated. For car seats for older children (9 months to 12 year), if the front seat is equipped with an airbag, we recommend placing the seat in the rearmost position.
Is it safe to use second-hand car seats?
We advise against purchasing a used car seat. The history of a second-hand car seat is often unknown. In other words, you cannot know for certain how it has been used. Car seats that have been involved in an accident are no longer guaranteed to be safe. The car seat may also be damaged in some other manner or may be incomplete.
Why do I need a car seat?
The use of an approved child car seat is required by law for all children up to a height of 1.35 metres. This requirement applies to all countries that belong to the European Union. Car seats and boosters with ECE R44/04 certification meet the minimum requirements of this new law.
